Introduction
The AD (A&F) is proposed to be a 2-year Associate Degree in Accounting & Finance.
It suits those students who have passed 12 years of education (HSSC or equivalent)
and are looking for short-duration education in Accounting & Finance. This may be
due to financial reasons or time constraints. Enrolling in an Associate degree program,
keeps the door open of earning a Bachelor degree in the future by completing the
remaining two years. Associate Degree in Accounting & Finance holders will be eligible
for continuing their education by taking admission in the fifth semester of the
8-semster BS (Accounting & Finance) degree program. The curriculum is designed in
line with the HEC recommendations, while at the same time it takes care of the needs
of the industry. This should ensureeasy employability of Associate Degree graduates.
Eligibility
Must have passed HSSC or an equivalent examination.
Degree Requirements
For the award of Associate Degree in Accounting & Finance, a student must have:
- 1. Must pass 72 credit hours of courses, as per tentative study plan.
- Obtained a CGPA of at least 2.00
- 3. Should undertake a 9-week internship, at a convenient time after their first
semester, or a work attachment for a total of up to 360 hours during their course
duration.
