Masters of Science in Project Management (MS Project Management)

This program focuses distinctly on individual’s Project Management capabilities, skill building and conceptual understanding from basic to advanced level concepts (related to Project Management).

Various organizations rely heavily on project managers so that projects flow seamlessly and the timeline, scope, and budget goals are met. With the increase in project-based work methods to accomplish tasks, experienced project managers are in higher demand. When you earn a master’s degree in project management, you possess a skill set necessary for project management valued by companies in virtually every industry. The purpose of the program thus is to produce high quality project managers for various local and international industries and to enable the students to develop solid base for doctoral level education in Project Management discipline.

 
Eligibility Criteria
 
  • This program is open for students with 16 years of formal education in any discipline from a HEC recognized university.
  • Minimum second division is required in the last degree.
  • A minimum score of 50% in local test is compulsory for acceptance to the program.
  • All candidates must complete any other requirement of HEC and Quaid i Azam University for admission.

THESIS REQUIREMENT OF MS:
  1. Students are generally encouraged to work on theoretical contributions, practical case studies (preferably local), industrial projects Etc.
  2. List of supervisors is available on CASE website (visit Department webpage and then Faculty Details).
  3. Students are requested to please consult the department for format of thesis and for the format of the final presentation of MSc Thesis. These documents are also available on CASE website in the “DOWNLOAD” section.
  4. All students must submit the “Masters Thesis Topic Approval Form” before the semester in which they wish to register for the thesis. Students can only register in thesis after approval of this form by the department. This form is also available on CASE website in the “DOWNLOADS” section.
  5. Students are encouraged to publish their thesis research work in international reputed conferences and journal. Publication should be done alone or with the respective supervisor. Upto two authors are allowed i.e. the student (as main author) and the supervisor (as co author). Reputed publications will result in better acceptance of the thesis (subject to relevant academic checks).
  6. Students can only register for thesis after completion of Core Courses of their respective degree.
  7. Students cannot register for thesis before undertaking following course concerning ‘research methods’

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR ALL STUDENTS:
  1. Students receive necessary guidelines from department before and at the time of registration in each semester.
  2. PhD scholars must contact the academic department for understanding course work requirement of their PhD degree.
  3. The Department’s Boards may ask students to take additional elective courses in any degree.
  4. All thesis documents must undergo plagiarism check (TURNITIN based) as well as language check (preferably from an English language expert).
  5. Final copy of all thesis would be sent to convener of STEM society.
  6. All prior degrees must be from HEC recognized universities/institutions.
  7. CASE has the right to change eligibility criteria as and when required.
  8. Students (applying in various degree) having CGPA instead of percentage should provide equivalence/conversion certificate from their respective universities/institutions.
  9. Students are requested to confirm their maximum course work duration time and total degree time from the department.
